Stage 1: Insight (Audit)

It starts with understanding..

In the first stage, our cultural diagnostic delves deep into your current culture. We uncover what makes your organisation thrive and pinpoint areas that require improvement. Our process identifies strengths to nurture, weaknesses to address, and hidden performance potential waiting to be harnessed.

The culture diagnostic tool that we most frequently use to gather insight is the Culture Consultancy Culture Assessment™.

Our Culture Assessment™ is underpinned by widely recognised cultural models such as Edgar Schein’s three levels of culture, Johnson & Scholes’ cultural web and Hatch’s dynamics of organisational culture, and delves deep into your organisation’s DNA. Through 4 lenses of Leadership, Management, Employee & Customer, we analyse 20 crucial attributes that range from innovation and well-being to results, performance and employee mindset. It identifies practical aspects of your culture that are driving high performance and should be harnessed, as well as those that may be hindering your organisation’s potential.

What we do to measure culture:

  • Review any existing insights you have in the form of employee survey results, recent focus groups, HR metrics
  • Alongside the online survey tool, conduct interviews and focus groups
  • The data gathered is analysed by our culture expert team or organisational psychologists, as well as business and HR professionals
  • Agree ‘case for change’ and focus areas for the future culture
  • Understand the strategy / business model that the future culture needs to enable​ and align with
  • Audit several entities, geographies, brands alongside each other highlighting negative sub-cultures and positive micro-cultures

What the output delivers:

  • A baseline measurement of your organisational culture highlighting current enablers and inhibitors of performance & engagement
